Rapporté par Umayyah bin 'Abdullah bin Khalid : Il a dit à 'Abdullah bin 'Umar : "Nous trouvons mention de la prière à la maison (c'est-à-dire sans voyager) et de la prière en temps de peur dans le Coran, mais nous ne trouvons pas de mention de la prière en voyage." Ibn 'Umar lui a répondu : "Ô fils de mon frère, Allah (SWT) a envoyé Muhammad (ﷺ) à nous alors que nous ne savions rien, et tout ce que nous devons faire, c'est suivre ce que nous avons vu Muhammad (ﷺ) faire

اخبرنا قتيبة، قال حدثنا الليث، عن ابن شهاب، عن عبد الله بن ابي بكر بن عبد الرحمن، عن امية بن عبد الله بن خالد، انه قال لعبد الله بن عمر انا نجد صلاة الحضر وصلاة الخوف في القران ولا نجد صلاة السفر في القران . فقال له ابن عمر يا ابن اخي ان الله عز وجل بعث الينا محمدا صلى الله عليه وسلم ولا نعلم شييا وانما نفعل كما راينا محمدا صلى الله عليه وسلم يفعل
