Rapporté par Uthman ibn Affan رضي الله عنه : Aban ibn Uthman a dit : J’ai entendu Uthman ibn Affan (son père) dire : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : « Si quelqu’un dit trois fois : “Au nom d’Allah, avec la mention duquel rien sur terre ni au ciel ne peut nuire, et Il est l’Audient, l’Omniscient”, il ne subira aucun mal soudain jusqu’au matin ; et si quelqu’un dit cela le matin, il ne subira aucun mal soudain jusqu’au soir. » Aban a été atteint d’une paralysie, et quand un homme qui avait entendu ce hadith a commencé à le regarder, il lui a dit : « Pourquoi me regardes-tu ? Par Allah, je n’ai pas menti sur Uthman, ni Uthman sur le Prophète ﷺ, mais ce jour-là où j’ai été touché, j’étais en colère et j’ai oublié de les dire. »
