It was narrated that Muhammad bin ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr said:“I was sitting with Ibn ‘Abbas, and a man came to him and he said: ‘Where have you come from?’ He said: ‘From Zamzam.’ He said: ‘Did you drink from it as you should?’ He said: ‘How is that?’ He said: ‘When you drink from it, turn to face the Qiblah and mention the name of Allah, drink three draughts and drink your fill of it. When you have finished, then praise Allah.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The sign (that differentiates) between us and the hypocrites is that they do not drink their fill from Zamzam.”

حدثنا علي بن محمد، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى، عن عثمان بن الاسود، عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن ابي بكر، قال كنت عند ابن عباس جالسا فجاءه رجل فقال من اين جيت قال من زمزم . قال فشربت منها كما ينبغي قال وكيف قال اذا شربت منها فاستقبل الكعبة واذكر اسم الله وتنفس ثلاثا وتضلع منها فاذا فرغت فاحمد الله عز وجل فان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال " ان اية ما بيننا وبين المنافقين انهم لا يتضلعون من زمزم
