It was narrated that Sa’eed bin Khalid bin Abu Tuwail said:I heard Anas bin Malik saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Standing guard one night in the cause of Allah is better than a man fasting and praying, among his family, for a thousand years. The year is three hundred and sixty days and a day is like a thousand years.”

حدثنا عيسى بن يونس الرملي، حدثنا محمد بن شعيب بن شابور، عن سعيد بن خالد بن ابي الطويل، قال سمعت انس بن مالك، يقول سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول " حرس ليلة في سبيل الله افضل من صيام رجل وقيامه في اهله الف سنة السنة ثلاثماية وستون يوما واليوم كالف سنة
