Salim narrated that :when he intended to undertake a journey, Ibn `Umar used to say to a person to “Come close to me so that I may bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to bid us farewell.” Then he would say: “I entrust to Allah your religion, and your trusts, and the last of your deeds (Astawdi`ullāha dīnaka wa amānataka wa khawātīma `amalik).”

حدثنا اسماعيل بن موسى الفزاري، حدثنا سعيد بن خثيم، عن حنظلة، عن سالم، ان ابن عمر، كان يقول للرجل اذا اراد سفرا ادن مني اودعك كما كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يودعنا . فيقول " استودع الله دينك وامانتك وخواتيم عملك " . قال هذا حديث حسن صحيح غريب من هذا الوجه من حديث سالم بن عبد الله
