Jabir narrated that :the Messenger of Allah said: “I have been ordered to fight the people until they say: ‘La ilaha illallah’. So when they say that, their blood and their wealth are safe from me, except for a right, and their reckoning is for Allah.” Then he recited: So remind them – you are only one who reminds. You are not a dictator over them

حدثنا محمد بن بشار، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، حدثنا سفيان، عن ابي الزبير، عن جابر، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " امرت ان اقاتل الناس حتى يقولوا لا اله الا الله فاذا قالوها عصموا مني دماءهم واموالهم الا بحقها وحسابهم على الله " . ثم قرا : ( انما انت مذكر * لست عليهم بمسيطر ) . قال ابو عيسى هذا حديث حسن صحيح
