Sunan an-Nasa'i - Hunting and Slaughtering
It was narrated that Jabir said:" On the Day of Khaibar, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) allowed us to eat the flesh of horses but he forbade us from the flesh of donkeys
اخبرنا الحسين بن حريث، قال حدثنا الفضل بن موسى، عن الحسين، - وهو ابن واقد - عن ابي الزبير، عن جابر، وعمرو بن دينار، عن جابر، وعن ابن ابي نجيح، عن عطاء، عن جابر، قال اطعمنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم خيبر لحوم الخيل ونهانا عن لحوم الحمر
