Sunan an-Nasa'i - Divorce
It was narrated that 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet, said:"When the Messenger of Allah was commanded to give his wives the choice, he started with me and said: 'I am going to say something to you and you do not have to rush (to make a decision) until you consult your parents.'" She said: "He knew that my parents would never tell me to leave him." She said: "Then he recited this Verse: 'O Prophet! Say to your wives: If you desire the life of this world, and its glitter, then come! I will make a provision for you and set you free in a handsome manner.' I said: 'Do I need to consult my parents concerning this? I desire Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and His Messenger, and the home of the Hereafter.'" 'Aishah said: "Then the wives of the Prophet all did the same as I did, and that was not counted as a divorce, when the Messenger of Allah gave them the choice and they chose him
اخبرنا يونس بن عبد الاعلى، قال حدثنا ابن وهب، قال انبانا يونس بن يزيد، وموسى بن على، عن ابن شهاب، قال اخبرني ابو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، ان عايشة، زوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قالت لما امر رسول الله بتخيير ازواجه بدا بي فقال " اني ذاكر لك امرا فلا عليك ان لا تعجلي حتى تستامري ابويك " . قالت قد علم ان ابواى لم يكونا ليامراني بفراقه - قالت - ثم تلا هذه الاية { يا ايها النبي قل لازواجك ان كنتن تردن الحياة الدنيا } الى قوله { جميلا } فقلت افي هذا استامر ابوى فاني اريد الله عز وجل ورسوله والدار الاخرة - قالت عايشة - ثم فعل ازواج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مثل ما فعلت ولم يكن ذلك حين قال لهن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم واخترنه طلاقا من اجل انهن اخترنه
