Sunan an-Nasa'i - The Night Prayer and Voluntary Prayers During the Day
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that Hafsah, the Mother of the Believers, :Told him that when the Muaddhin fell silent, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) would pray two brief rak'ahs
اخبرنا عبد الله بن اسحاق، عن ابي عاصم، عن ابن جريج، قال اخبرني موسى بن عقبة، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، عن حفصة ام المومنين، انها اخبرته ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان اذا سكت الموذن صلى ركعتين خفيفتين
