The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Burdah al-Ansari through a different chain of narrators. This version has:I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect

حدثنا احمد بن صالح، حدثنا ابن وهب، اخبرني عمرو، ان بكير بن الاشج، حدثه عن سليمان بن يسار، قال حدثني عبد الرحمن بن جابر، ان اباه، حدثه انه، سمع ابا بردة الانصاري، يقول سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول فذكر معناه
