Jabir b. Samura reported:The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in the noon prayer:" By the night when it envelopes" (xcii.), and in the afternoon like this, but he prolonged the morning prayer as compared to that (noon and afternoon prayers)

وحدثنا محمد بن المثنى، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، حدثنا شعبة، عن سماك، عن جابر بن سمرة، قال كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقرا في الظهر ب { الليل اذا يغشى} وفي العصر نحو ذلك وفي الصبح اطول من ذلك
