Narrated `Uqba bin 'Amir:that the Prophet (ﷺ) gave him some sheep to distribute among his companions to slaughter as sacrifices (`Id--al--Adha). A kid goat was left and he told the Prophet (ﷺ) of that whereupon he said to him, "Slaughter it as a sacrifice (on your behalf)

حدثنا عمرو بن خالد، حدثنا الليث، عن يزيد، عن ابي الخير، عن عقبة بن عامر رضى الله عنه ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اعطاه غنما يقسمها على صحابته ضحايا، فبقي عتود فذكره للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال " ضح انت به
