Sunan an-Nasa'i — Purification

It was narrated that Abu Raja' said:"I heard 'Imran bin Husain (say) that the Prophet (ﷺ) saw a man who was by himself and did not pray with the people. He said: 'O So and so, what kept you from praying with the people?' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have become Junub and there is no water.' He said: 'You should use earth for that will suffice you

اخبرنا سويد بن نصر، قال حدثنا عبد الله، عن عوف، عن ابي رجاء، قال سمعت عمران بن حصين، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم راى رجلا معتزلا لم يصل مع القوم فقال " يا فلان ما منعك ان تصلي مع القوم " . فقال يا رسول الله اصابتني جنابة ولا ماء . قال " عليك بالصعيد فانه يكفيك

It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Clean earth is the Wudu' of the Muslim, even if he does not find water for ten years

اخبرنا عمرو بن هشام، قال حدثنا مخلد، عن سفيان، عن ايوب، عن ابي قلابة، عن عمرو بن بجدان، عن ابي ذر، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " الصعيد الطيب وضوء المسلم وان لم يجد الماء عشر سنين

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent Usaid bin Hudair and some other people to look for a necklace that 'Aishah had left behind in a place where she had stopped (while traveling). The time for prayer came and they did not have Wudu', and they could not find any water, so they prayed without Wudu'. They mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime revealed the verse of Tayammum. Usaid bin Hudair said: 'May Allah reward you with good, for by Allah, nothing ever happened to you that you dislike, but Allah makes it good for you and the Muslims

اخبرنا اسحاق بن ابراهيم، قال انبانا ابو معاوية، قال حدثنا هشام بن عروة، عن ابيه، عن عايشة، قالت بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اسيد بن حضير وناسا يطلبون قلادة كانت لعايشة نسيتها في منزل نزلته فحضرت الصلاة وليسوا على وضوء ولم يجدوا ماء فصلوا بغير وضوء فذكروا ذلك لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فانزل الله عز وجل اية التيمم قال اسيد بن حضير جزاك الله خيرا فوالله ما نزل بك امر تكرهينه الا جعل الله لك وللمسلمين فيه خيرا

It was narrated from Tariq that a man became Junub and did not pray, then he came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and mentioned that to him. He said:"You did the right thing." Another man became Junub and performed Tayammum and prayed, and he came to him and he said something similar to what he had told the other man - meaning, you did the right thing

اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الاعلى، قال حدثنا امية بن خالد، قال انبانا شعبة، ان مخارقا، اخبرهم عن طارق، ان رجلا، اجنب فلم يصل فاتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فذكر ذلك له فقال " اصبت " . فاجنب رجل اخر فتيمم وصلى فاتاه فقال نحو ما قال للاخر يعني " اصبت
