Sunan Abu Dawud — The Rites of Hajj

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If any one of you greets me, Allah returns my soul to me and I respond to the greeting

حدثنا محمد بن عوف، حدثنا المقري، حدثنا حيوة، عن ابي صخر، حميد بن زياد عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن قسيط، عن ابي هريرة، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال " ما من احد يسلم على الا رد الله على روحي حتى ارد عليه السلام

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not make your houses graves, and do not make my grave a place of festivity. But invoke blessings on me, for your blessings reach me wherever you may be

حدثنا احمد بن صالح، قرات على عبد الله بن نافع اخبرني ابن ابي ذيب، عن سعيد المقبري، عن ابي هريرة، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " لا تجعلوا بيوتكم قبورا ولا تجعلوا قبري عيدا وصلوا على فان صلاتكم تبلغني حيث كنتم

Narrated Rabi'ah ibn al-Hudayr: Rabi'ah ibn al-Hudayr said: I did not hear Talhah ibn Ubaydullah narrating any tradition from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) except one tradition. I (Rabi'ah ibn AbuAbdurRahman) asked: What is that? He said: We went out along with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who was going to visit the graves of the martyrs. When we ascended Harrah Waqim, and then descended from it, we found there some graves at the turning of the valley. We asked: Messenger of Allah, are these the graves of our brethren? He replied: Graves of our companions. When we came to the graves of martyrs, he said: These are the graves of our brethren

حدثنا حامد بن يحيى، حدثنا محمد بن معن المديني، اخبرني داود بن خالد، عن ربيعة بن ابي عبد الرحمن، عن ربيعة، - يعني ابن الهدير - قال ما سمعت طلحة بن عبيد الله، يحدث عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حديثا قط غير حديث واحد . قال قلت وما هو قال خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يريد قبور الشهداء حتى اذا اشرفنا على حرة واقم فلما تدلينا منها واذا قبور بمحنية قال قلنا يا رسول الله اقبور اخواننا هذه قال " قبور اصحابنا " . فلما جينا قبور الشهداء قال " هذه قبور اخواننا

Nafi’ reported on the authority of ‘Abd Allah bin ‘Umar “The Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) made his Camel kneel down at Al Batha which lies in Dhu Al Hulaifa and prayed there. Abd Allah bin ‘Umar too used to do so.”

حدثنا القعنبي، عن مالك، عن نافع، عن عبد الله بن عمر، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اناخ بالبطحاء التي بذي الحليفة فصلى بها فكان عبد الله بن عمر يفعل ذلك

Narrated Malik: One should not exceed al-Mu'arras when one returns to Medina until one prays there as much as one wishes, for I have been informed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) halted there at night. Abu Dawud said: I heard Muhammad b. Ishaq al-Madini say: Al-Mu'arras lies at a distance of six miles from Medina

حدثنا القعنبي، قال قال مالك لا ينبغي لاحد ان يجاوز المعرس اذا قفل راجعا الى المدينة حتى يصلي فيها ما بدا له لانه بلغني ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عرس به . قال ابو داود سمعت محمد بن اسحاق المدني قال المعرس على ستة اميال من المدينة
